One of the key tenants of the Marine Biodiversity Observation Network is to promote best practice (OBPs) in observations, data management, and applications to advance interoperability and data integration (DarwinCore), and publication of data in open-access databases (OBIS). This resource is the collection of datasets that have been mobilized to the Ocean Biodiversity Information System through efforts associated with US Marine Biodiversity Observation Network projects.
The collection is maintained by associating affiliated datasets to the US MBON institution in the dataset metadata. As new datasets are aligned and shared with OBIS, through US MBON efforts, they will be added to this collection.
